If you turn a Bass Amp on full blast will it damage anything?

I have a Hartke B150 15 Watt Bass Amp with A 6" Speaker and I was just wondering if it would hurt to turn it all the way up? Cause I don't want to damage it or anything. It seems that when I turn the volume past 6 with all the bass, mid, and treble turned up it gets slightly distorted.

A very distorted amp can damage a speaker quicker than anything else if it's run loud enough.

If the speaker sounds like it's rubbing against something or "grunting", then you're pushing it past the point of what it can physically do.

So, I guess the answer is that it could possibly damage the amp by turning everything all the way up. It really depends on how much output your bass guitar delivers and how hard you play it.
