c) in the UK, Iron or bronze for durability. In australia powder coated aluminium for cost & rust resistance

f) bronze - malleable (can be shaped) in a way to allow excellent sound

h) aluminium because its fairly cheap and easily rolled into foil sheets
a) can non-ferrous composites of copper & zinc & aluminium; copper because it is soft, zinc protects corrosion, unsure why aluminium is included.
