Nike shox I pod compatible how does that work?

I just bought some nike shox that are Ipod compatible.I do have an ipod nano.How does that work?Please explain.Many thanks in advance.

First of all you need to buy the Nike + software, which is ~30 dollars and can be bought at most running stores or most athletic stores. Then you connect it to your nano, and put the "chip" into the bottom of your shoes - there should be a place for it under the sole of your shoe. Basically what it does is track how far you've gone, your pace, and how many calories you burn. Then this data can be uploaded to the computer.
