Did the Philadelphia Phillies get better pinch hitters in your opinion?

I think they did get better pinch hitters just I think they need more relievers, better closing pitcher that doesn't blow 11 saves, and they shouldn't start Ibanez because Francisco is better for defense purposes. Ibanez is just the power guy in the 5th spot of the big lineup.

Yes, I think the Phillies got better pinch hitters. Juan Castro won't be used as much to hit, but will come in for defensive purposes. I miss Matt Stairs, but Ross Gload is a huge improvement because he can hit for power and average and play the field. Fransisco is a good bat off the bench too, and will also be used for defensive purposes. Your right that Ibanez can't really field, but his bat is great and his numbers only went down last year because he got hurt. Now that he's healthy this year, he will put up great numbers.
