I got got a ipod shuffle but worried it may be a waste due to its small size?

Im worried because of its small size it will be junk and break easy? And is this ok to use for running since while running your body moves and makes the i pod move will it hurt it?

i have an ipod shuflle and haven't broken it and i can break things easily. i hav had it since last year. it is easy to run with.
