Vital Baseball

I really need this answer...do you have it?

Today a new attendance record was set for an opening season baseball game.Over 100,000+ people attended to see the game.My question is why is it we can get that many people to unite for something so trivial, yet we are unable to get together and unite for what is truly important and vital for our lives now and the future we will leave to our children.We all know the problems we face and the mess we have allowed to materialize by sitting back silent and not acting, how do we get together and participate in the real game,the game of life!

Because despite political, social, racial and classicist issues, baseball is a connection, an interest that these 100,000 share -- the common denominator if you will. But these 100,000 people will not agree on one issue that will unite them.

While most people are concerned about the future for our children, there are different beliefs on how to get there. If you feel the calling to act and make a difference, then follow your instincts. Find out who is doing the work you feel is important and do it. You can't fix every issue that is of concern - you'll spread yourself too thin and burn out quickly. Figure out what your top one or two issues are and work to make a difference.

It's good that you're so concerned and that you want to make a difference. And so you can.
